Register Now for Girls Basketball League
Registration forms are now available for the Hartford Girls Basketball League's 1998 fall season.

The league is divided into 3 divisions (ages 9-10, ages 11-13 and ages 14-17).

The league is sponsored by Mayor Mike's Companies for Kids, area businesses and the Hartford Department of Human Services. Staffing is provided by parents and other volunteers. Each team has loaned uniforms with the name of the company or organization that sponsors the team.

Play will begin on October 13, 1998, but registration, team formation and pre-season play will start shortly. Games are generally played on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 5-8 pm. The season will end during the third week of November.

The 9-10 year old division is scheduled to play at Quirk Middle School, the 11-13 division at Fox Middle, and the 14-17 division at the M.D. Fox Elementary School.

To get on a team you must mail or bring a completed registration form by September 18, 1998 to the Hartford Girls Basketball League c/o the Mayor's Office, 550 Main St. Hartford, CT 06103.

The registration fee is $10. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please call the league's 24-hour voice mailbox at 524-1108, ext. 330. A League official or Commissioner Gerry Toncy will return your call.
