Town InformationThe Town of Wilton is nestled in the Norwalk River Valley in Western Connecticut. Located in Fairfield County, Wilton is north of the City of Norwalk, west of the Town of Weston, and east of the Town of New Canaan. Wilton's 16,500 residents live in an area of 2 6.8 sq. miles. Wilton was first settled in 1701 as a northern district of Norwalk and was incorporated from Norwalk in 1802. Wilton was a quiet agricultural community for most of its peaceful history.
