Town Information

The town of Thomaston in west central Connecticut covers an area of 12 square miles and is home to approximately 7, 050 residents. The town was first settled by the family of Henry Cook of Branford in about 1728 and was incorporated from Plymouth in 1875. The manufactures of Seth Thomas clocks, now a subsidiary of a large conglomerate, have been in this town since 1812. Its businesses today are in addition of Seth Thomas, manufactures of precision brass and machinery products.

Thomaston Girls Defeat St. Thomas
On Friday, March 14, the Thomaston Jr. High Girl's basketball defeated St. Thomas School 44-38 in a hard-fought game between two rivals. The game was tight all 32 minutes, but in the end, Kathleen Reynolds sparked the girls to a victory. They finished their season at a respectable 11-5.
