Town Information

The town of Sterling in the center of Connecticut's eastern border with Rhode Island, covers 27.2 square miles and is home to approximately 2, 580 residents. Sterling was first settled as part of Voluntown, possibly as early as 1710. In 1794 this northern part of Voluntown was set off and incorporated. Today this rural town principal industries include dairy farming and manufacturing.

Community Police Steering Committee Meeting
The Steering Committee meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Angelo Lamagna Center in Thompsonville at 7pm. Public is welcome, and refreshments will be served. Each month we have different topics involving, issues on the "Quality of Life" in Enfield. We look at issues brought to us from residents, business owners and town officials looking for answers and solutions to a cleaner,safer enviorment here in Enfield.
